Pomodoro and the Monkey

Tomatoes… I don’t like them! My mother always asks me “why do you hate tomatoes? They are good for health, try them once” but believe me this is one of the least probable things I will ever try :D. Today I proudly told my mom that I tried “tomatoes” and I loved them! She was amazed and astonished, but soon I told her that those were actually “Italian” tomatoes — Pomodoro — and even not edible! I love the reaction and expressions on her face when I told her the truth xD ❤.

I tried “pomodoro” today as part of DIY activity at Amal Academy. It was a unique and amazing experience trying this technique to boost productivity. I wanted to complete my FYP tasks in the morning. It’s always tedious to explore and read data dictionaries, searching stuff line by line. But yay… I did it even before the time I had forecasted for my lazy self. Focusing on one task, without any distractions for 25 minutes was not a big challenge, whereas the outcome was measurable as it allowed me to strike out a few tasks from my today’s todo list. :)

I came to know about our inner instant gratification monkey today, he is my friend too and even looks like my best friend :D (sorry monkey you probably look better xD). But I have decided to make this friendship limited with my inner monkey friend and spend more time “eating tomatoes” — practicing Pomodoro technique. This really allows me to complete tasks before deadline and keep a safe distance from that mischievous monkey.
Try this technique if you have that monkey friend and tbh we have it in our friend list! You are gonna love this method as it adds an extra engine to your productivity vehicle.
